How to Ride: Xpress Edition

The Perimeter area is serviced by two direct GRTA Xpress buses, plus over 30 other routes that connect to MARTA rail. Start taking the GRTA Xpress bus in 4 simple steps! And find out more at the Xpress website!

Four things to consider before starting your journey:

ONE: Determine your route.

Discover your new Xpress route with GRTA’s interactive FIND YOUR ROUTE tool.

You can also contact Perimeter Connects for your free customized commute plan.

We know navigating all the routes, schedules, and pricing can be confusing, so we’re here to make finding a commute alternative as easy as possible!

TWO: Pick your pass and determine your fare.

Passes range from one trip, round trip, 10-trips, 20-trips, to a monthly pass. If you take the bus regularly to work, the monthly pass is the best value!

Depending on your route, the pricing may vary. You can expect to pay between $3-$5 to to hop on a bus.  Visit the Xpress website for fare details.

THREE: Ways to pay

There are 3 ways to pay.

You can purchase a one-way or round-trip with cash when boarding, but make sure to bring exact cash. For 10 trip, 20 trip, or monthly passes, you can load them onto your Breeze card OR purchase Xpress tickets.

FOUR: Things to consider

  • All sales are final
  • Products loaded onto Breeze cards never expire (max 4 products at a time)
  • Xpress tickets DO expire – expiration date is printed on the ticket
  • Xpress bus passes MUST be loaded onto the Breeze card for free transfers to and from MARTA (rail or bus)
  • Up to 3 transfers within a 3-hour period
