View of Abernathy Road long-term lane modifications following road closures.

Weather permitting, Georgia DOT is planning to close two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane on Abernathy Road from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 15. The road closure will allow crews to modify the existing lane closures on Abernathy Road.

Detour Directions

Motorists traveling on Abernathy Road eastbound should turn right onto the GA-400 southbound entrance ramp. Motorists will not be able to travel eastbound under GA-400. Motorists should turn right on Mercedes-Benz Drive/Barfield Road, and turn left on Mount Vernon Highway to Abernathy Road/Perimeter Center Parkway or Peachtree Dunwoody Road.
