Transform 285/400 Interchange Closures: Traffic Impacts on I-285 and SR 400 from June 14 through June 20, 2022

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will close lanes on local roads and close lanes on I-285 and SR 400. Crews will also implement multiple detours for the Transform 285/400 Interchange project. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds and detours in some areas.

Overnight Closures:  

Tuesday, June 14, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. General Lane Closures & Traffic Pacings: 

  • One left lane on SR 400 northbound from Abernathy Road to MARTA North Springs Station 
  • Two right lanes on I-285 westbound between Roswell Road and Mount Vernon Highway 
  • Two right lanes on I-285 eastbound at SR 400 
  • One right lane on I-285 westbound between Ashford Dunwoody Road and Peachtree Dunwoody Road 
  • One right lane on SR 400 northbound at Windsor Parkway 

Wednesday, June 15, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. General Lane Closures & Traffic Pacings: 

  • Two left lanes on SR 400 northbound between Hammond Drive and Abernathy Road 
  • Three right lanes on I-285 westbound at SR 400 
  • Two right lanes on I-285 westbound between Long Island and Mount Vernon Highway 
  • One right lane on I-285 westbound between Ashford Dunwoody Road and Peachtree Dunwoody Road 
  • One right lane on Glenlake Drive southbound to Abernathy Road eastbound 
  • One left lane on SR 400 northbound from Abernathy Road to MARTA North Springs Station 
  • Two left lanes on SR 400 southbound from MARTA North Springs Station to Abernathy Road 
  • One right lane on SR 400 northbound at Windsor Parkway 
  • One right turn lane on Barfield Road southbound to Abernathy Road eastbound 
  • One left turn lane on Abernathy Road westbound to Barfield Road southbound 

Thursday, June 16, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. General Lane Closures & Traffic Pacings: 

  • Two right lanes on I-285 westbound between Roswell Road and Mount Vernon Highway 
  • Three right lanes on I-285 westbound at SR 400 
  • One right lane on Glenlake Drive southbound to Abernathy Road eastbound 
  • One left lane on SR 400 northbound from Abernathy Road to MARTA North Springs Station 
  • Two left lanes on SR 400 southbound from MARTA North Springs Station to Abernathy Road 
  • One right lane on SR 400 northbound at Windsor Parkway 
  • One right turn lane on Barfield Road southbound to Abernathy Road eastbound 
  • One left turn lane on Abernathy Road westbound to Barfield Road southbound 
  • One right lane on I-285 eastbound between Ashford Dunwoody Road and Chamblee Dunwoody road 

Friday, June 17, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. Closures and Detours:

I-285 westbound Full Closure at SR 400 (Detour Map) 

  • Motorist traveling on I-285 westbound should use CD lanes leading motorists to Exit 25 Roswell Road to access I-285 westbound. 

Saturday, June 18, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. Closures and Detours:

I-285 westbound Full Closure at SR 400 (Detour Map) 

  • Motorist traveling on I-285 westbound should use CD lanes leading motorists to Exit 25 Roswell Road to access I-285 westbound. 

Monday, June 20, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Closures and Detours:

I-285 eastbound to Glenridge Drive (Detour Map) 

  • Motorists traveling on I-285 eastbound to Glenridge Drive should use Exit 27 SR 400 southbound and Exit 3 Glenridge Connector to access Glenridge Drive. 

Abernathy Road to SR 400 southbound (Detour Map) 

  • Motorists traveling on Abernathy Road to SR 400 southbound will use SR 400 northbound, Exit 6 Northridge Drive to access SR 400 southbound.
