Georgia Department of Transportation’s construction crews will be working on the Transform 285/400 Project, with activities including controlled blasting along I-285, utility work and bridge work in the interchange, sweeping activities, and work on Mount Vernon Highway. The work is expected to impact travel, with a significant closure taking place this week.*

Mount Vernon Highway will close from Barfield Road to Peachtree Dunwoody Road

Motorists traveling eastbound on Mount Vernon Highway are advised to turn left on Barfield Road/Mercedes Drive and turn right on Abernathy Road, continuing on it until they can make a left back onto Mount Vernon Highway, to avoid the closure.

Those traveling westbound on Mount Vernon should turn right on Abernathy Road and then turn left on Barfield Road/Mercedes Drive to make a right back to Mount Vernon Highway.
