Get Rewarded for Riding Your Bike with Biketober Bonus Prizes

To celebrate Biketober, we’re giving away extra sweet Biketober prizes exclusively for Perimeter employees. Keep reading to learn more.

Between cooler days and beautiful foliage, fall is the perfect time for a bike ride. In October, riding your bike is even better with Biketober – a special campaign inviting all of Atlanta to go for a bike ride (and maybe win some great prizes for doing so).

What Is Biketober?

Biketober is an annual event that challenges metro Atlanta residents to rediscover the joy of riding a bike.

Go for a leisurely ride with a friend, take a spin class, zip down the road for a treat, or find any other reason to ride. Then, log your miles online to be a part of the movement. You can participate solo, as part of a workplace team, or put together a team of friends. This is a perfect opportunity for some well-earned fun and a bit of extra activity!

If you’re someone who enjoys winning things, then we’ve got more good news: everyone who joins the challenge gets entered into prize drawings for gift cards, outdoor items from REI, and much more. The grand prize winner even gets an Edison Electric Bike!

More? We almost forgot! Perimeter employees who participate get even more chances to win.

Special Prizes Just for Perimeter Employees

The Perimeter area is a unique part of Atlanta, so we wanted to give employees who work here some special bonuses. In addition to the prizes available to everyone, courtesy of Georgia Commute Options, Perimeter employees will have additional opportunities to win prizes for new riders, people who refer friends, and winning workplace teams. Here’s what we’re giving away:

New to riding?

The first 25 new riders who work for a Perimeter employer will get a $50 Amazon gift card just for logging their first ride in Biketober.com. For those folks getting on a bike for the first time in a while, this is for you!

All our new riders will also be entered in random drawings for:

  • A $500 gift card to REI

AND

  • A $500 gift card to Free-Flite bikes

Ready to share that fun with a friend?

Encourage your colleagues, friends, and family to get on a bike, log their first ride at biketober.com and earn “encourager” points. Ten minutes of riding is all that’s required to qualify for points! We’ve got some special bonuses to recognize your encouragement efforts. These rewards aren’t random drawings either – if you encourage people to bike and log their miles during Biketober 2021, you’ll automatically get the corresponding gift card, based on how many people you encouraged. The more people you inspire, the sweeter the reward.

  • Encourage 1 person: $10 gift card (all gift cards will be Amazon or Visa)
  • Encourage 5 people: $50 gift card
  • Encourage 10 people: $150 gift card
  • Encourage 20 people: $300 gift card

More than bragging rights!

Biketober is a great chance to bring your team together for some friendly competition with other workplaces across metro Atlanta. To give our Perimeter employer teams a little extra motivation to climb that leaderboard, we’re awarding our highest-placing local workplaces a team gift card (think of it as a team ‘tab’) at the brand-new Iron Hill Brewery.

We’ll work with the Team Champion to coordinate the celebration so your team can plan for an in-person celebration when it makes sense.

  • 2000+ employee category: $400 team gift card
  • 500-1999 employee category: $400 team gift card
  • 200-499 employee category: $300 team gift card
  • 50-199 employee category: $260 team gift card
  • 20-49 employee category: $220 team gift card
  • 7-19 employee category: $160 team gift card
  • 1-6 employee category: $120 team gift card
