Real-time transportation information simplifies your commute

State Farm in Perimeter has made commuting more convenient with the use of TransitScreens, which provide real-time transportation information to employees.

Driving your car to work means knowing that your mode of transportation is readily available for you, and that you are in control of your time. For many transit riders, a common complaint is finding a way to overcome the wasted time while waiting for the train or bus. It can also be incredibly frustrating to arrive at the train station, just in time to see the train pull away.

Having access to real-time transportation information makes it easier for employees to know what their commute options are. State Farm has installed TransitScreens in the lobbies of their Perimeter offices. The large screens are mounted near the concierge desk, and show bus and train arrival and departure information, traffic conditions, and availability of Uber cars in the area. In a recent survey of nearly 300 State Farm employees, 91% of respondents indicated that they would like the company to continue providing the transit screen service. Nearly 20% use it daily, with another 18% using it one to two times per week. State Farm intends to install the screens when their new headquarters building at Park Center is complete.
