Can You Hear Me Now?

Our new Work From Home (WFH) series is here to give you quick tips and ideas for improving your at-home work experience. Read on for tips to improve your phone and video calls.

Working from home shouldn’t sound like you’re in a construction zone (or a Kindergarten class!). Improve your phone calls with these quick fixes:

  • Mute your microphone – The Wall Street Journal calls this the Work From Home Golden Rule and recommends inexpensive apps like Talk Toggle and Mutify to help you follow this rule
  • Flexjobs recommends upgrading your earbuds to a headset, which will improve the quality of your conference call
  • Another tip from WSJ is eliminating background noise when it’s raining cats and dogs – they recommend apps like Krisp that drown out the chatter behind you
