Transform 285/400: I-285 Eastbound Long-Term Lane Closures Ending This Weekend

WHAT: To further advance the Transform 285/400 Interchange reconstruction project to final completion, the contractor for the Georgia Department of Transportation will reopen lanes on Interstate 285 eastbound between Roswell Road and Ashford Dunwoody Road. Lanes were reduced in October 2022 for bridge demolition and reconstruction at three critical mainline bridges over Glenridge Drive, State Route 400, and Peachtree Dunwoody Road. The I-285 westbound closure in the same area will reopen in the coming weeks. Temporary overnight closures will continue in this area as crews work to complete final paving. WHEN: Work to begin the reopening of the lanes will begin Friday, July 21, at 10 p.m. Delays are to be expected. All lanes are to be opened by Saturday, July 22, by 12 p.m. (noon) WHERE: All Travel Lanes Opening – I-285 eastbound between Roswell Road and Ashford Dunwoody Road. ADVISORY: Dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
