If you walk the walk, we’d like to hear you talk.  Join us for a Public Information Open House, as we ask for community input and feedback on two proposed multiuse trail projects in the Perimeter Center Improvement Districts (PCIDs).  These potential trails incorporate separate pedestrian and bicycle facilities in two locations:

– Along the west side Ashford Dunwoody Road between Hammond Drive and Perimeter Center West
– Along the west side of Peachtree Dunwoody Road between Hammond Drive and Central Parkway

What can you expect?  This open house event will promote participant interaction with staff and their representatives.  Your feedback is critical to the success of these exciting new trails.  Come take a look at concepts and drawings for these projects and let us know what you think.

Why trails?  In 2016, the PCIDs completed its Commuter Trails System Master Plan, which calls for the study and creation of commuter trails connecting corporate campuses in the Perimeter community as well as connecting commuters to MARTA stations. These proposed separated pathways run adjacent to roadways but accommodate bicycle and pedestrian travel separately from motor vehicles.  Several locations for new trails have been identified.

Your involvement will help us meet our goals to:

– Provide transportation options and improve bicycle and pedestrian access to MARTA
– Offer mobility for non-motorized users within Perimeter
– Decrease the number of commuter car trips by increasing the utility of MARTA for Perimeter workers and residents[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Directions: 400 Northpark is conveniently located adjacent to the Sandy Springs MARTA Station. Once at the Sandy Springs station, follow the signs to the Mt. Vernon Highway exit, which takes you down a long underground corridor to elevators and stairs that lead out to the Northpark campus. 400 Northpark (one of three buildings on the campus) is located to the west, across Peachtree Dunwoody Road. Arriving by car: Free visitor parking spaces are provided in 400 Northpark garage.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
