Improve your organization and your mood by keeping your WFH workstation clean and neat. Harvard Business Review reports that clutter “can have negative effects on our stress and anxiety levels, as well as our ability to focus.”  They recommend establishing regular “spring cleaning” times for our home offices and other spaces.

Overwhelmed?  Here are some other tips:

  • Flexjobs suggests a wire management system or tube to keep cords under control – this comes with a safety bonus
  • Real Simple offers a 10-step guide to cleaning your office that includes tips on wiping down electronics and washing windows (the glass kind!)
  • Small Business Trends gives you actionable items for decluttering home offices, such as using cloud storage services, labeling, and storing physical files
  • How Stuff Works touts organizing your home office to improve productivity with a “clean sweep” of your desk, purging papers you don’t need, and relocating frequently-used tools.
